City College Student Prachi Pardhi Bags 1st Position at National level online poster making competition
Good News there for Nagpurians as Prachi Pardhi of Dharampeth has won the first prize for the National Level Online Poster making competition. The competition was organised by the Department of Environmental Science, School of Earth sciences Devi Ahilyabai Holkar Solapur University, Solapur. The competition was organised on the eve of World Environment Day, while it was held in collaboration with groups including Global youth for environment and sustainability (GY4ES) along with the Buddies Indonesia for students and faculty members.
This is a big news for Nagpur city as it managed to get the top award for the city girl. There were various themes given to the students which include global warming, COVID 19, e-waste management, municipal solid waste management, natural resource management and river rejuvenation to name a few. The department of National online conference on Environment and Conservation was also involved in it. In the recently called virtual conference as inaugurated by Shri. Prakash Javdekar ji Union minister of environment.
It was the VC of the University Prof Mrinalini Phadnvis who inaugurated the same. This was the first time when we had such a competition being organised for the students and the city college student bagged the first time. The Principal of the college Dr.Akhilesh Peshwe, Vice Principal Dr.Archana Kulkarni congratulated Prachi and gave their best wishes to her in her future endeavours.
