City Police Keeps Nagpur on High Alert this Independence Day
For the view to keep the city free from any Naxal or terrorist attack in Nagpur, the Nagpur Police have kept the city on high alert. As per the Nagpur Live reports, more than 2000 cops have been deployed in different places in the city. These include all the vital buildings and crowded areas. The police seemed to have given directions to the people saying that they should be prepared to face any kind of situation. They have asked the district and the city admin to have the Independence Day celebration in closed circle at the backdrop of COVID-19.
This Friday, a cop was killed in Bhamragarh Gadchiroli, which remains the Naxal belt in the state. The attack has injured a few in the said area of Gadchiroli which is regarded as the key Naxal affected area. With this, the region has been under high alert and Nagpur being close to this place has been kept on high alert. As per reports, the security has been given additional security in Nagpur. The police personnel will be deployed in all the areas.
The police was seen instructing to act tough against the people who are creating issues and disturbance on this big way. In order to deal with the same, the city police have got additional force including deploying 30 officers and 252 personnel on the road coming from the traffic police. People found violating and disturbing the peace of the city are likely to face tough time.
