The last five years in power for Fadnavis as the Maha CM has witnessed his assets and properties by 100 percent. He was dragged in the court by a city-based lawyer called Satish Ukey in the past years of his regime. However, when Fadnavis filed nomination, he came out with a fresh affidavit where he did not mention the two cases that are hurled on him. However, the same two cases were mentioned earlier in his 2014 affidavit.
The cases include the case no. 232 of 1996 under the 500 of IPC — defamation) and the other was the regular criminal case no. 343 of 2003 with different sections of IPC. Both the cases are seen pending in the Nagpur courts. Also, he and his wife has declared 3.84 Cr in their affidavit, however, their assets have risen up to 100 per cent going to 4.77 Cr. Ukey now has more reasons to challenge the sitting CM in the coming elections. So with his statements, he is also poorer than Aditya Thackeray who is contesting from Worli seat in Mumbai.
The other sources also claim that the CM has four criminal cases pending against him, but none of them has been mentioned in their affidavit. Well, with these issues coming in light and people from the city are highlighting, will the CM of Maha would face a tough time in the coming assembly election, that’s the big question to answer.
