With buses not functioning properly in Nagpur city, the bus stands have become a deserted location. Unfortunately, the city has always pitted with issues of the improper functioning of the buses, the spaces allocated for the bus stands have become empty spaces now being hijacked by the beggars and people of such sort. The increasing beggars in the city have made these bus stops as their shelter in Nagpur
On the other end, we have the beautification project carried out by the NMC or Nagpur Municipal Corporation, which is leaving no stone unturned to keep the spaces in the city clean, green and beautiful. This has led them to construct a number of roads, flyovers, and metro in the city. The cleanliness and beautification process is also taking place in the city.
However, on the other side, we see the bus stands in busy areas of the city like Dhantoli and Buldi have been captured by the city beggars who have now made these spaces as their new shelter. The bus stand opposite Yashwant Stadium has become the victim of the same. The bus stand that remains the shelter for the beggars or the rag pickers now has started living in the bus stands adding the blot on the current beautification of the city. Its high time the the city authorities take a heed to these spaces and act otherwise their efforts to make Nagpur a clean and green space go in vain.
