Nagpur Departs Around 9,000 migrant workers and students via Special Trains
With the current outbreak of the COVID 19 virus, the civic admin area of the city has been taking up all the efforts in transporting the migrant workers and students outside the city. The current lockdown has put the city on standstill and thus keeping migrant workers and students stranded in Nagpur. As per reports, so far more than 9000 migrant workers and students have been transported so far from the city to their home destinations.
The reports suggest that there were around 1600 students who were stranded from the areas like Jammu and Kashmir along with Leh Ladakh who were seen leaving the city via the Special trains called Shramik Special along with other special trains moving from Nagpur Railway station till date. While Shramik Special trains were seen leaving from different cities of the country and thanks to the efforts being put by the different government departments in the city that has come to be unique.
All thanks to the coordination taking place in between officials of different departments that has played the part in transporting the migrant workers and students all across the city. While carrying out the migrant workers and students, the local admin has made sure to follow all the norms that were recommended by the health workers to ensure the safety of the people travelling in the said train. As per reports, the Sitabuldi Police was seen getting the task of coordination among the different police stations to take care of the easy boarding of the workers.
