Passenger Reservation Services at the Railway Stations to Start soon in a limited way

With the ongoing lockdown due to the pandemic, the Indian Railways are now planning to open with limited and special trains. Now, they have decided to open up the passenger reservation services or PRS soon. But when we talk about the citizens benefiting from the ticket windows would only cater to the select crowd along with the pass holders and via different agents. The tickets would be booked online at the moment till the fresh notifications come out to open the PRS windows at the railway stations. 

However, the authorities are only allowed to book the tickets at the station ticket windows usually for the HOR holders, MLA/MLCs, sitting as well ex-parliamentarians, the fully reimbursable warrants/vouchers, etc. The passenger, therefore, availing the concessions for different categories like the freedom fighters and railways employees would be given a ticket on free privilege passes/card pass/duty pass, etc. The virus outbreak has been with the apprehensions regarding the reservations carried out at the railway station.

While reserving the tickets only two beets would accommodate in the third AC and the same goes for every category. As far as the railway’s employees are concerned they can also get the two tickets with their passes for the AC and the other category tickets. This will be done as per the allotted quota for the reservation as issued to the Principal Chief Commercial Managers of different zones. Stay tuned to know more about it and others only with us.
