Jwala seeks CID/CBI probe into Nikita Choudhury death case

Nagpur: On Tuesday NCP leader Jwala Dhote demanded a probe by the state criminal investigation department (CID) or Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the mysterious death of Nikita Choudhury. The burnt body of the deceased was found in Surburdi on the date of March 16, almost a day after his disappearance.

With Nikita Choudhury family members, Jwala had addressed a press conference on Tuesday And Lalita, referring to the decision of a bench of about five judges in this case, has said that The police officers completely ignored the court’s direction by not registering a case of murder and rape when Nikita Choudhury family tried to register the complaint.

She has said that it is entirely suspicious of the city police chief to declare Nikita Choudhury death to the media as a ‘suicide’ soon after her body was discovered. Once the senior most cops have already taken a pre-determined stance, Then the subordinates are obliged to follow it blindly.

Jwala also told CP Amitesh Kumar that Nikita Choudhury death as a suicide was untimely and immature.

Registered a case of abetment to suicide

He has said that they are going to court now.

Nikita Choudhury’s family members have also sought a copy of the chemical analysis report, FIR, post-mortem report, and other documents from the Wadi police. He also lamented that the police could have saved the woman had they taken the location of her cell phone very seriously.

Brother Akash has said that his (Nikita Choudhury) cell phone was on for the entire episode till his body was found. The cops could even do zero down on him.

Wadi police have registered a case of abetment to suicide against Nikita Choudhury friend Rahul before arresting him. Police officers have registered this case on the basis of CCTV footage. In which the woman is going alone towards the place where her body was found.
