VIA delegation Visited Nitin Gadkari’s office to discuss COVID-19 Relief Activities
The Vidarbha Industries Association commonly known as VIA has remained a popular body in Nagpur to carry out a wide range of activities in the region. Thus they are also seen active for the activities on COVID 19 in the city. This led a delegation to meet the Union Transport Minister Mr Nitin Gadkari at his office. The delegation was led by the VIA President Mr. Suresh Rathi, who was accompanied by Hon. Secretary Mr. Gaurav Sarda, along with the Vice President – Dr Suhas Buddhe, and Treasurer – Naresh Jakhotia.
The others who joined the delegation include Rohit Bajaj, Girdhari Mantri, Pravin Tapadia, Suhas Buddhe, Nitin Sudame and Vishal Agrawal who went to meet the Union Minister for MSMEs, Mr. Nitin Gadkari at his residence at Nagpur. They handed the minister a memorandum requesting to offer instant relief to the industries and discussed various things related to the COVID relief work in the city. They requested to offer instant relief in the city.
The memorandum also requested the minister to start industrial activities in a phased fashion as soon as possible so as to address the other issues taking with reduced manpower in the first phase. It also requested the minister to allow workers to return to factory units with special guidelines and get them the health and safety measures. It also requested for the exporters to start their work on an immediate basis in India and start tie-ups with various nations.
