Power Grid team to get safety training from KEC International
The KEC International Ltd. often called as KEC is a global player in infrastructure world. Recently the company and the RPG Group company have conducted a two-day safety training program for the employees of the city power group Power Grid. The training was organised at the KEC’s state-of the-art training center based in Nagpur. The key objective of the training program was to inflate the awareness and thus build a culture of safety at the ground zero.
The workshop training was basically meant for engieers and foreman dealing with safety parameters as per the top benchmark that are carried out at the global level by the KEC. The trianing also carried out session dealing with the understanding of the behavioural concepts along with the mind set towards safety, alon gwith the hazards linked with working-at height, material handling, electrical safety, tools and plants that manage the handling and adoption of mechanisation in transmission line construction.
The trainign programme had Rajesh Kumar, the Chief General Manager of the Power Grid and Rajinder Gupta, the Senior Vice President, KEC International. The two innagurated the session in the presene of several senior leaders from PGCIL and KEC. Talking on the ocassion, Mr. Gupta said that the program was designed to learn and explore the best safety practices that remain specific to working at-height and for the other safety hazards in the T&D industry. A large number of engineers, supervisors and foreman were present in the workshop training and they benefited the best from the training.
