The Year 2020 started with rains making the New Year revelers to start the year on a wet note as it was raining all the way morning to afternoon and even in the evening. In fact, the shower started way back at midnight when the people were busy celebrating the New Year’s eve at various places allowing the revelers to enjoy rain amidst the chilling atmosphere. Many in the city came out without any provision to shield the rain even though the weather department has cautioned about the rain.
People coming out to celebrate the big day had to face a lot as it was raining like a Monsoon Rain ruining all their New Year celebration eve in the city. Thus it was double trouble for the Nagpurians as they had to face the heat of the chilling weather as well since the mercury has fallen down to 6.5 Degrees. This will continue for two more days claimed the Regional Meteorological Department in Nagpur. They had warned the thunderstorm and shower in the city for a few days.
The entire region was affected by Bhandara getting the maximum amount of rain in the area reaching to 28.6 mm. The weather reports suggest that the untimely rains would remain for the coming 3-5 days and the temperatures would be remaining low all time. The people driving midnight during the New Year eve had to face a lot of trouble in driving. Also, many were nabbed by the police on the drunk and drive cases.
