City Joint Commissioner of Nagpur Police Urges the Spread of Fake News
With the rise of a number of cases for the fatal virus in the state, the city Joint Commissioner of Police Mr. Ravindra Kadam has asked not to spread fake information about the virus to prevent the spread of panic kind of situation around the city. As we see the city police ordering for Section 144 of the criminal procedure code of 1973; the local administration has become strict about the same. As per the latest WHO Reports, the clampdown of the cities and towns can help in controlling the virus.
However, with the current lockdown, the issue of spreading fake news in the city and region has increased. This has created further problems and hence the Joint Commissioner has warned the people who have been forwarding the messages without verifying the details of the same. The Joint Commissioner has asked not to circulate the message with any social media platforms including WhatsApp, Facebook, Twitter and Tiktok videos to name a few.
Such videos and text content coming in the form of fake news is creating problems for the people.
