Teachers in Gadchiroli, Chandrapur, and Vidarbha districts are laying full emphasis. On reopening primary schools for children since the academic session has started.
Zilla Parishad School Teacher
The teacher of a Zilla Parishad school in Bhamragarh taluka of Gadchiroli has said that all these children anyway spend their whole day together in the village. And now our teachers are also visiting these villages and now conducting ‘home study’ sessions as well. Because we cannot even remove all these children from the education ecosystem at all.
Another teacher who visited the villages for these home study sessions also said that I don’t see any logic at all for keeping the primary school closed for the time being. Whenever I go there to organize all these study sessions, they are already sitting together in front of someone. All such work can be done in school also. And then what’s the difference? The state government is unnecessarily dragging these decisions for too long. And also hurting the future of all the students a lot.
Sources in the Education Department say that it is absolutely impossible to open the primary section once again before the arrival of Diwali. Because the officials will first check whether the number of covid cases will increase in this festive season or not.
