Fire Crackers Checks by MPCB and PESO to regulate Pollution in city
The bodies MPCB and PESO called Maharashtra Pollution Control Board and Petroleum and Explosives Safety and Testing Station respectively are the regulatory bodies when it comes to putting a check over the noise pollution due to firecrackers during the festive time of Diwali. The bodies ensure that we have a safe Diwali with family and friends. Hence as per the recent moves decided by the two bodies, they are leaving no stone unturned to keep things in perfect order to keep things in the right shape.
As per the guidelines as set by the bodies particularly the MPCB, they have set up their benchmark, which are to be adhered while making the crackers. They have also released a set of guidelines for bursting the crackers in the city to reduce the sound pollution in a big way. They have asked to keep the noise level not more than the levels of 125 dB (AI) or 145 dB. Also, the people are asked to maintain a safe distance of 4 meters as they burst the crackers. They have developed all these norms as per the Environment Protection Act.
There are several crackers that are being banned for any use in Nagpur and in state as well apart from keeping the firecrackers including the thunder bombs and pop-pop at bay. The bodies are checking with the local vendors and shop owners asking them to keep and sell the branded crackers who abide by the norms given by them to enable safe festive time for the city.
