Nagpur: This district has recorded a spike of 32 daily COVID positive cases on Sunday, After which the number of active covid cases has crossed 100 after 128 days. On the date of August 20, the active cases had come down to 98.
At least 4 VNIT students, 5 Sharjah-returned passengers, and 13 cops who had returned from settlement duties in the Gondia district for the Zilla Parishad elections were among those who tested positive.
Ram Joshi, Additional Municipal Commissioner has said that the passengers have been shifted to AIIMS Nagpur. 2 of them have left for Amravati district. The collector has been informed about his covid positive result. Positive cases have also been shifted to IGGMCH and GMCH. There are also beds in NMC’s Women’s Hospital and IGR at Pachpauli. Whereas the MLA hostel has 300 beds. All positive cases will continue to go into institutional quarantine till the bed becomes available.
78 cases have been found in this district from the date of 1st to 24th December. 56 cases have been added in the last 2 days.
