The death of Sushant Singh Rajput sent shockwaves not only in the film industry but among those who followed his work and admired him. One such person was Sunil Gupta, the co-founder of the digital media agency Media Tribe. Sunil had met Sushant on the sets of ‘M.S Dhoni The Untold Story’ (2016) when he was working with a company that was looking after the digital promotions of the film.

Recalling his meeting with the late actor, Sunil says, “I had admired the work he had done but was not really a fan. I was just an employee who was handling movie promotions and stars. That day, when I met him during promotions of ‘M.S Dhoni The Untold Story’, I requested him for a picture. Sushant readily agreed. When I stood beside him, he told me, “Arey bhai! Itni door kyun khada hai? Zara nazdeek se pose de naa. I was awestruck with his humble behavior. I had never met a ‘star’ fan like him. That was the day when I became a fan of him.

Sunil also had a ‘Bihar’ connection with Sushant.

“I have grown up in Mumbai and to be honest, I was not comfortable telling people that I am from Bihar till a certain point of time. My family is based in Nallasopara for years but my mom and my nani maa have been following the rituals associated with Bihar. Unlike me, Sushant was always proud of the fact that he was from Bihar. He respected the place he belonged to and his success inspired a lot of people to do the same. Unlike his contemporaries, he often took risks and did a bunch of different films. ‘M.S Dhoni The Untold Story’ was, in particular, a film that left a huge impression on me. I learnt the importance of hard work, dedication, and valuing time from that film. That came in handy when I and Rima Mishra started our digital marketing agency, MEDIA TRIBE in 2017.”

“Being an entrepreneur, I have seen many highs and lows and there have been times when I thought this is the end of the road for me. I have managed to bounce back but I know what that feeling is. Many say suicide is a selfish act. I would just like to say we must reach out to loved ones when we feel they are going through some kind of difficulty and be with them in every way possible. Sushant’s death has left a void that will never be filled. His success has definitely inspired and will keep inspiring youngsters, no matter where they come from, to fulfill their dreams. I can definitely speak for myself and say that though he is not with us, he will keep inspiring me to be better in life. Thank you, Sushant for inspiring me. Hope you find peace in this afterlife”, SunilGupta says on a part note.

Media Tribe shared and wrote in a recent post “As a tribute to our lost star Aka Sushant Singh Rajput, we at mediatribe.in take a pledge to support newcomers in Bollywood and other industries, to give them our best and help them in the best possible way. We already have small dubbing and Studio setup in the office and we will try to contribute more in the near future. Please feel free to contact us in case you need support.”
