As the Election Commission announced the dates of election a few weeks before, the city seems to be gearing up for the festival of democracy called elections. The Single Phase election which is slated to hit the floor on 21st October will witness the clash of parties of different ideologies and mandates eyeing for their victory. Now, the city administration office is gearing up for the assembly elections which is scheduled in the city on the given date.
Both the Nagpur Administration office and the Nagpur police have started their preparation for the assembly polls to ensure that the polls go smooth for the people who were nominated for 12 seats in the city and around Nagpur. Six of the assembly seats would be seen in Nagpur, while the rest would be counted in the rural Nagpur area. As per reports, the said offices would complete the procedure of the nominations filed for the election by 4th October for all the 12 seats.
At the same time, the Nagpur Police would ensure that the polls are conducted free and fair way without any criminal activities and issues. The city police are likely to bring more men to carry out the arrangements on time. As per reports, the city will witness the shortage of vehicles for the election work. The department has only 200 vehicles while the requirement for 1600 vehicles has been raised. However, despite escalating the shortage to the concerned departments, the election bosses have been feeling the dejection for the delay in meeting their demands.
